Who I am
This website, https://desjours.fr, is the personal website of Romain Desjours, based in France. I am responsible for the personal data processed on this site. You can reach me at any time through the contact form or by email at romain@desjours.fr.
This site does not use any audience analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and I never sell or rent your personal data.
Contact form
When you use the contact form, I receive your name, email address, company (optional) and message by email. This information is only used to reply to you and to follow up on your request. It is not stored in the website's database; it is kept in my mailbox, hosted by OVHcloud in the European Union.
Legal basis: my legitimate interest in answering the messages I receive (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Retention: up to 3 years after our last exchange, unless you ask me to delete it sooner.
Comments
When you leave a comment on a blog post, the website stores the data shown in the comment form (name, email address, optional website, comment) as well as your IP address and browser user agent, to help detect spam. Your email address is never displayed publicly.
Comments are checked by the Akismet anti-spam service (Automattic Inc.). An anonymised string created from your email address (a "hash") may also be sent to the Gravatar service (Automattic Inc.) to display your profile picture if you have one. Automattic may process this data in the United States under appropriate safeguards (EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses). See the Automattic privacy policy.
Legal basis: my legitimate interest in running a blog with a comment section and protecting it from spam. Retention: comments and their metadata are kept as long as the comment is published. You can ask me to edit or delete your comment at any time.
Fonts loaded from Google
To display the website's typography, your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited). This means your IP address is sent to Google when you visit the site. Google may process this data in the United States under appropriate safeguards. See the Google privacy policy.

This website only uses cookies that are needed for it to work and to remember your cookie choices. You can find the full list and change your choices at any time on the Cookie Policy page.
Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted by OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France. Like any web host, OVHcloud records technical data (such as IP addresses and pages requested) in server logs for security and legal purposes, and keeps them for a limited period.
